Oil and Gas – What does one of Alberta’s former premiers suggest the Alberta government should do in order to replace declining oil and gas revenues? The first 3 students to tell Stephanie in the Social room will get a $10 Starbucks gift certificate. Hint: The answer can be found in the newspaper.

Sweat – There will be a sweat on Monday, May 16th. If you are interested in attending, please sign-up with your teachers. The van will leave at 9:30 AM and will return to the school by 2:45PM. There is only room for 10 students so don’t wait to sign-up.

Want to be an Actor/Actress!? The Producers of Blackstone, Prairie Dog Film + Television, will be holding an open casting call for Aboriginal Youth aged 14-24 on June 3rd, 2011, at the Stanley A. Milner Library. A sign up sheet will be provided prior to June 3rd and auditions will be conducted by the sign in sheet and then on a first come, first serve basis. Individuals will be called into the casting session one at a time and will read their lines on camera. Auditions will take approximately 5-10 minutes each. The casting call will run from 9:30am – 12:00pm with a one-hour lunch break and then return for the afternoon session from 1:00pm – 4:00pm. Are you interested in a career with the trades? Would you like try out different skills found in trades? Join Boyle Street Education on a field trip to Skills Canada Alberta. Ask Tim, Neda, or your Options teacher to signup or for more info. 6 week parenting class at the school starting May 6th! The parenting class with Kara Family Resource centre is starting tomorrow after lunch in the Native Studies room. Registered students who complete all 6 classes will receive school credit!
