Truth and Reconciliation Event Schedule
We are preparing for the Truth and Reconciliation events to be held in Edmonton in March of 2014. The way we are doing this is to host a number of events around the issue of residential schooling in Canada and exploring the way forward. Below is a list of the events we will be undertaking between now and March. We are looking forward to meeting with our community around these events.

Need some dental work? Free dental services will be available THIS SUNDAY at the Shaw Conference Centre from 10 am to 3 pm. For more info, see Brandy in Student Services, or go online to: http://www.homelessconnect.ca/
School Sweat lodge Ceremony– Monday Oct 21st– Open to first ten students who sign up with their homerooms. We leave the school about 9:30 am and will return by 3pm. You will need to bring a towel and shorts/nightgown, extras available if needed. For more information please ask Tim and Cliff.
For LGBTQ youth and allies– Edmonton and Area GSA Roundtable will be hosting special guest Michael Phair on Tuesday, October 15th. As always, there will be free pizza and pop. Join us from 4:30 – 6:00 (room opens at 4:00) in room 7 on the 6th floor of the Stanley A. Milner Library in downtown Edmonton. Ask Tim for more information.

GSA Roundtable Meetings
The 2012-13 GSA Roundtable meetings will be held on
Tuesday March 19th from 4:30 – 6:30pm at downtown Library.
Meetings are held once a month (during the school year) for students,
teachers, staff, and administrators to meet, network, and share strategies
in support of sexual and gender minority (LGBTQ) youth attending Junior
& Senior High Schools in the greater Edmonton area.

YMCA Youth Exchange:
If you wish to take part in the youth exchange to Toronto in May, you must get your participant consent form, signed in ink, back to Cliff or Neda by Monday, January 21st.
More Awesome Work Plays
The crew who brought us WORKPLAYS have a new play called, Working It Out. They will be debuting Working It Out in the fall of this year. However, the crew needs our help. Before they are ready to present it in the fall, they would like to test the play on us and get our opinion. The crew will be presenting Working It Out this Friday, Jan. 18/13. If you are interested in attending and/or would like more information, ask Neda.
