Housing List! The new housing list for May is now available in student services and online on the BSEC website!
Are you interested in a career with the trades? Would you like try out different skills found in trades? Join Boyle Street Education on a field trip to Skills Canada Alberta. Ask Tim, Neda, or your Options teacher to signup or for more info. Trip Info: When: Wed. May 11th Time: Leaving the school at 12:45pm, returning to the school at 2:30pm Where: Edmonton Expo Centre, Northlands
The Federal Election - took place in Canada on May 1, 2011. Who is Canada’s prime minister? What political party does he represent and how many seats does his party hold? Who won the second most amount of seats and what party does this person represent? What 2 parties lost the greatest number of seats? The first 4 students who can tell Stephanie the answer will each win a $10 gift certificate for Starbucks

6 week parenting class at the school starting May 6th! The parenting class with Kara Family Resource centre is starting this Friday after lunch in the Native Studies room. Registered students who complete all 6 classes will receive school credit!

Attention students: Prizes galore!!! Be sure to check the BSEC homepage daily to get your share of the prizes. Prizes will be offered randomly throughout the week on 2 to 3 days, maybe more. Students can win no more than 2 times in any given week. Have fun! Let’s start things off easy: 4 Tim Hortons gift cards are up for grabs for the first 4 students to tell Stephanie, who is located in the Social Studies room, what colour top Mary, who is located at the front desk, is wearing.
Do’s and Don’ts of renting an apartment – come out to this one hour session to learn about your rights as a tenant and the responsibilities of a landlord. Bring specific questions about maintenance, missed rent, plugged plumbing, etc. Native Studies Room- Wed April 13th at 11am

Take the CSTS - Construction Safety Training System here at Boyle Street Education Centre with Tim. It is a lengthy computer program but would be valuable when applying for labour or construction jobs.
