YMCA Youth Exchange Parent/Guardian Meeting:

There will be a meeting today @ 5PM in the Video Conference Room for parents/guardians of students participating in the YMCA Youth Exchange.  Participants must also attend.

 

Volunteer opportunity

Help out a food concession at the commonwealth Stadium serving customers for Eskimo football games and world class soccer events. Payoff is you earn high school credit, gain work experience, and can take breaks to see the game. See Tim for more information.

Wanna know your rights as a worker? Attend WORKPLAYS Oct. 27@ 9:30am.  It’s an extravaganza of song, dance, and knowledge!

Know your renting rights! Brandy and Tim will be taking any interested students to the Stanley Milner library on Monday, November 14th from 2 – 3:30 for a legal presentation on renting

U of A Open House this weekend: Find out information about programs, ask questions, talk to staff and students. Saturday 9-4pm at the Butterdome.

Student Finance Deadline: If you are applying for Student Finance, please bring your completed forms to Brandy or Mavis by Wednesday, Oct.19th

Field Trip: Drop In Phys -Ed will be going to the WEM ropes course on Friday, October 21.  They will be leaving at 12:45. Meet at the after lunch. See Huiy or Neda for details.

Volunteer with BSEC students at the Edmonton ReUse Centre. Located next to Churchill square, school volunteers on Wednesday afternoons, more hours could be scheduled on weekends. See Tim for more information.

Volunteering opportunity: At the Edmonton Reuse Center, starting Wednesday Oct 12 and every Wednesday after that from 1pm-3:30pm. Learn to be a Sorter and use warehousing skills. See Tim if interested.
