FINAL Sweat of the Year!

SWEAT:  The final sweat of the school year is going to be held on Monday, June 15th.  If you are interested in attending, please sign up with your homeroom teacher or Cliff.   The first 10 students to sign up will be assured a spot.

SWEAT:  There will be a sweat on Monday, April 14th.  Interested students should sign-up with their teachers.  The first 10 students who pre-register will be guaranteed a spot.  The van leaves @ 930AM and will return by 230PM.

GRAD MEETING:  Hey GRADS let’s get together and figure this out.  Our first grad meeting is Wednesday April 9th block 4 in the VC room.  Let your voice be heard!

Job Hunting

Looking for a job?  Not sure where to apply?  Thursday, June 6 from 3pm-7pm there is a job fair called Youth Power III.  Youth Power is specifically for youth ages 14-30.  There will be over 50 companies looking for new employees.  So wear your best interview outfit and bring your resume to the Trans Alta Arts Barns.  Need more info?  Ask Tim or Neda.

 

Edmonton Pride Parade

March with Camp fYrefly, iSMSS, PFLAG, and UAlberta in the Edmonton Pride Parade on June 8th at 12pm!  Staging area is 102Ave and 107 St around 11am. Meet us at the Giant Rainbow fYrefly!

 

Sweat Site Cleanup

Boys and Girls or BSEC- We need volunteers to help with a sweat lodge site clean-up Monday June 10th. Will be raking grass, stacking wood, setting up outfitters tent and other general maintenance. Please let Cliff and Tim know if you’re interested. ay-ay

SWEAT:

The first sweat of the school year is taking place on Monday, September 17th. There is only room for 10 students. Interested students are encouraged to register with either their homeroom teachers or Cliff. The van will leave at 930AM and return by 230PM.

 

Pipe Ceremony:

 

There will be a pipe ceremony today (Monday, Sept 10th) in the Native Studies Room at 230PM.  All students and staff are encouraged to attend.

Art Walk Volunteers – Volunteers are needed for Art Walk on July 15-17, tasks include: sign posting and pickup, artist walkabouts, volunteer tent, booklet drop off. Please continue to check these announcements for the rescheduled date. Students who already signed up for the June 20th sweat need not re-register for the rescheduled sweat. Sorry for the inconvenience.
