Advancing Futures Funded Students

If you intend on re-applying for AF funding next year you MUST get your application into Cliff by Noon today.  If you are late then you will miss the funding deadline and subsequently will not be funded for next year.

Advancing Futures Funding:

If you have ever been in care of Children’s Services before you may be eligible for living allowance funding through the Advancing Futures Bursary Program.  If you think you may fit this funding category please see Cliff in students services as soon as possible for an application.

Edmonton’s 5th Annual Queer Prom – is this Saturday, June 4th at Enterprise Square (10230 Jasper Ave.) from 7-11 pm. Admission is free- any LBGTQ peeps and their allies between the ages of 12 and 25 years are welcome! Come for the food, DJ & music, or just to socialize. Please RSVP on Facebook @ Queer Prom 2011 if you plan to go

Forms must be completed by JUNE 8th if you want to receive money at the beginning of the school year!

Graduates! – There will be a Grad Meeting in the Video Conference room during Reading Block next Tuesday, June 7th. All exciting students and graduates are invited to attend.

FLASHMOB – Looking for something different to do? Wanna be a part of something fun? Love to dance? Participate in a FLASHMOB for the feats Festival Of Dance. No experience required. Ask Neda for more information.

Job Searching? – Neda and Tim are still helping students with interview skills, job interview clothing, resume updating, cover letter writing and job searches.

Certificates for your resume! – Don’t Have your WHIMIS or Fall Protection Certificate? Want your CSTS ticket to work on construction sites? See Tim.

Want to be an Actor/Actress!? The Producers of Blackstone, Prairie Dog Film + Television, will be holding an open casting call for Aboriginal Youth aged 14-24 on June 3rd, 2011, at the Stanley A. Milner Library. A sign up sheet will be provided prior to June 3rd and auditions will be conducted by the sign in sheet and then on a first come, first serve basis. Individuals will be called into the casting session one at a time and will read their lines on camera. Auditions will take approximately 5-10 minutes each. The casting call will run from 9:30am – 12:00pm with a one-hour lunch break and then return for the afternoon session from 1:00pm – 4:00pm.
