Daily Announcements – Why Vote? Ask a candidate!

Why should you vote? Why not?  On Monday (today) and Tuesday (tomorrow) afternoons, BSEC will host each of the major-party candidates who are running in Edmonton-Centre to be our Member of the Legislative Assembly.  Why does this matter?  Because this is your chance to ask them why you should vote!  Ask them why all this “politics stuff” matters and why, specifically, it should matter to you.  They will all have answers (you can bet on it!)

The candidate meetings will be at 1:00PM on Monday and 2:30PM on Tuesday in the Native Studies Room.  Need a reason to show up?  Check out the video below:

Daily Announcements

A list of questions or tasks will be posted on random days throughout the week in the announcements.  Take your answers to the questions to Stephanie where you will be awarded points for correct answers.  Your name will be added to a tally sheet where your points will be tracked.  10 correct answers will = 1 point. We will be awarding a grand prize at the end of the semester to the student with the most points – an Ipod touch!!!

Daily prizes will vary.

Today, YOU HAVE A CHOICE. We will be giving away 5 $5 gift certificates to Subway and NO POINTS OR

you can choose to not take a gift card, but instead receive 2 points.  2 points are = to having answered 20 questions correctly in this contest.
